you're being greenwashed // deceived into falsely believing that a product is healthy.
> The #1 recommended brand by dermatologists sells products with parabens that disrupt the endocrine system.
> The National Association of Eczema recommends products with sulfates that destroy the skin barrier.
> And 'clean skincare' brands aren't so clean when you search their ingredients on EWG.
At nothing else, we’re exposing the beauty industry’s reliance on harmful preservatives and its refusal to evolve. By embracing a waterless approach, we eliminate the need for synthetic preservatives — proving that skincare can be both pure and effective without compromise.
THIS IS WHAT SKINCARE COMPANIES DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW
THE FDA
has just 9 ingredients banned in personal care while the European Union has over 1,600. The FDA does not care about your health, but we do.
the fragrance loophole
Fragrance, flavors, and even essential oils are considered trade secrets. Their components are not legally required to be disclosed. Using them allows companies to hide harsh chemical inside products.
THE BAD GUYS
WATER
WATER YOU TALKING ABOUT?
If a product contains water, it needs a full-spectrum preservative to kill off unwanted bacterial growth. Unfortunately, no full-spectrum preservatives exist that are safe.
PRESERVATIVES
Kill off the good bacteria in the endocrine system, strip down vital layers of skin, and destroy vital nutrients inside of skincare products.
SUNSCREEN
Chemical sunscreens are poisoning us. The chemicals seep into blood steams wreaking havoc on endocrine systems.
COLLAGEN
Be aware of the source. It's extracted from the skin and bones of pigs, cows, and fish.
HYALURONIC ACID
Similar to collagen, be aware of the source. The non-vegan stuff is extracted from the red stuff on a rooster's face. Are you sure you're getting a healthy cock?
SKINCARE PACKAGING
Most skincare packaging comes in containers that are not uv proof. Products without uv protection degrade quickly and become ineffective. Don't waste money on expensive products with poor uv protection.
Introduced in 1923 as a cheap, mass-produced preservative. Recently, its links to health concerns have caused it to lose favorability, but when one problem is solved another arises. Cheap alternatives, disguised with different names, have flooded the market preserving ingredients the same way and causing the same damage.
The version you get is created in a lab and doesn't provide the same benefits as receiving it from nature. Ceramides can be found naturally in jojoba, grape seeds, and many other ingredients we use. It shouldn't be created in a lab.
Coco-betaine has an EWG score of 1. Good right? Not so fast. The same ingredient, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, has a terrible score of 5. Ingredients on EWG can be listed under aliases or synonyms.
Coco-betaine is a commonly used foaming agent that is not as safe as advertised.
BABY POWDER
It took 130 years for consumers to prove that Johnson & Johnson's baby powder gave them cancer.
J&J first started selling baby powder in 1894 and settlement payments are still being negotiated in 2025.
